Camille’s approach to design has been shaped by a career that bridges architecture, interiors, construction, and highly bespoke residential design.

After earning her degree in architecture from Iowa State University, Camille began her career with internationally recognized architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, where she developed a strong foundation in architectural thinking and technical design. She later expanded her education and experience in interior design, working across hospitality, restaurant, workplace, commercial, and residential projects while gaining experience in space planning, construction documentation, project management, and coordination with contractors, engineers, and consultants.

Her career eventually led her to highly bespoke residential interiors, working in interior architecture with Architectural Digest AD100 designer Timothy Corrigan. There, Camille contributed to exceptional residences for an international clientele and further developed her appreciation for craftsmanship, custom millwork, furnishings, and the extraordinary thought and detail behind truly individual homes.

Today, Camille draws upon that breadth of experience to approach each project holistically, considering how a home looks, functions, is constructed, feels, and ultimately supports the way her clients want to live. Rather than treating architecture, interiors, furnishings, and construction as separate exercises, she considers how each decision contributes to the whole. From rethinking a floor plan around daily life to tailoring a kitchen to the way a family cooks and entertains, she looks for opportunities to solve problems creatively, create cohesion, and help clients determine where their investment will have the greatest impact.

As principal of Camille Helen Designs, she brings that spirit to every project, translating her clients’ lifestyle, priorities, and aspirations into a home that feels distinctly their own. For Camille, the greatest reward is seeing how thoughtful design can transform everyday life, making it more beautiful, functional, personal, and aligned with the people who live there. The opportunity to create that transformation with each new project continues to fuel her passion for the work.

“From the architectural changes to the kitchen and family room, cabinetry, lighting, finishes, and even the smallest design details, Camille has brought a level of thoughtfulness and sophistication to our home that is unmistakable. Every element is considered as part of a larger, cohesive vision rather than as an isolated design decision.”
